The Advanced Plant Growth Centre brings together a unique combination of state-of-the-art facilities that will develop the underpinning science to bring increased commercial, economic and environmental benefits to the agriculture, food and drink sectors by delivering improved crops, sustainable new ways of growing and storing existing crops, and reduced risk arising from the impact of climate change. APGC is supported by the UK and Scottish governments through the Tay Cities Region Deal, a partnership between the UK and Scottish governments and public and private organisations across Angus, Dundee, Fife and Perth & Kinross that seeks to invest up to £700 million in projects promoting sustainable and inclusive prosperity for the region.

Mobilising the UK’s agritech community. The UK Urban AgriTech collective, or UKUAT, brings together the UK’s key players in modern agricultural technologies. We’re a cross-industry group devoted to promoting urban agritech as a solution for food and environmental crises. We influence policy by sharing information, educating, and communicating practitioner needs as one. We promote the uptake of agritech in urban and peri-urban settings by uniting to attract funding and customers.

Japan Plant Factory Association (JPFA) is a non-profit organization founded in 2010 and is devoted to academic and business advancements in the global industry of plant factory/controlled environment agriculture. Our mission is to develop and disseminate sustainable systems that can address global challenges: food, environment, energy, resource and people's health. With international industry-academia collaborations, we manage around 20 R&D projects, workshops, training courses, etc. based in a Chiba University campus in Kashiwanoha, a smart city in Japan.

The vfi is a widely varied multidisciplinary team with specific expertises. It is embedded in an inter national research network all around vertical farming. Architects, engineers, plant physiologists and artists cover a wide spectrum of knowledge – essential to develop and implement new building typologies for vertical farms. What is the vertical farm institute? The vertical farm institute is a private research company fully dedicated to develop new building typologies for urban vertical food production. The mission is to radically reduce land-, water- and energy consumption.
