The aponix vertical barrel system extends the de-facto standards of soil-less plant cultivation from the horizontal plane into the 3rd dimension at professional standards. Unlike the other methods like NFT (nutrient film technique) and DWC (deep water culture) no fixed elements are required to set up a farming plot. Other vertical farming operations need to erect rack structures that cause all sorts of challenges and drive up the cost of urban micro farming while making it too complicated. The goal of the Aponix system is to enable professional vertical urban micro-farming with much higher plant density per square meter than their horizontal plane counterparts. The barrels are assembled like lego building block.
